WVSOM’s Fit Kids program promotes nutrition, health and fitness | State & Region
The West Virginia University of Osteopathic Medicine’s (WVSOM) Middle for Rural and Local community Wellness (CRCH) is functioning with a group of WVSOM college students to host a series of Fit Young children gatherings aimed at advertising diet and physical fitness among the area youngsters ages 6 to 11.
The Fit Children system began with a pilot celebration in Might and continued with a welcome party on Aug. 22. Every session involves game titles and opportunities for schooling centered on a specific concept. Masks are expected, social distancing is noticed and moms and dads should stay with children for the duration of the events. WVSOM learners and CRCH workers will oversee the pursuits.
Joyce Martin, CRCH plan and outreach coordinator, claimed college students envisioned the In good shape Children program as a way to join with location young folks and make sure they keep on being physically energetic.
